ORLANDO, Florida — October 12, 2016 — The American Competitiveness Alliance (ACAlliance), a leader in calling for immigration reform that strengthens our modernizing economy, in partnership with Orlando Inc., will co-host a community luncheon on October 18 at the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce. The luncheon will focus on how immigration reform can help America maintain its status as an economic superpower and remain the top destination for the world’s brightest talent.
Matthew W. Slaughter, Dean of the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and recent Member of the Council of Economic Advisors to the 43rd President of the United States, will be releasing a groundbreaking paper on immigration at the luncheon. ACAlliance co-chair, former Governor Bill Richardson (D-NM) who also served as U.S. Energy Secretary and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations will be the keynote speaker.
Immigration reform is certain to again be a hot topic when the next Congress convenes in 2017. Governor Richardson and Dean Slaughter will lay out their vision on how we can build a brighter future for all Americans and drive economic growth here at home. The luncheon will focus on how a modern immigration policy can enhance America’s global competitiveness by attracting and retaining talent in Florida and across the United States.
