The Wall Street Journal finds that the newly crowded legislative agenda and little appetite for immigration reform have given House Republicans a reason to put reform on the back burner. “…as the House prepares to reconvene next week, GOP leaders have no plans to bring immigration bills to the floor,” the piece says. Negotiations on raising the nation’s debt ceiling and now a vote on the use of force in Syria have made the heavy lift of immigration reform even more difficult.
